All About Single Point Anchors (SPAs)

Single Point Anchors (SPAs) are used when horizontal mobility of the working surface is either not required or very limited. The reason for this is that swing or pendulum fall needs to be kept to a minimum to reduce the total fall distance. SPAs have been installed successfully by Northland Safety Solutions LLC on applications such as single-point access on rolling stock (railcars or trucks). An SPA can also be used for safe access to an established fall protection system that is located next to an exposed edge, as well as for climbing vertical ladder systems safely.

Single point anchors can be designed as a free-standing support or can be anchored to an existing building or support structure. An SPA will be designed for one user.
